In 1993, a small group of empowered young women made a promise to the community -- to support activities that give other young women the opportunity to educate, lead, network and serve. Today, YWA's members continue to fulfill this promise by helping the next generation of female leaders reach their full potential.
The Young Women’s Alliance Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created by the Young Women’s Alliance in 1997. The Foundation empowers tomorrow’s female leaders by awarding educational scholarships for girls and women and providing grants to the organizations that serve them, ultimately inspiring all women to give back to their community.
The YWA Foundation Annual Report provides visibility into where and how our fundraising efforts are making a difference in the Austin community and includes details about the success of our 2012-2013 fiscal year. This year's report includes an overview of the Foundation and how it is supported by the Young Women's Alliance, information about the amazing young ladies that received tuition assistan
Members can get more involved in the Foundation by helping to select this year's community grant and scholarship recipients, participating in the annual Foundation Fundraising Campaign, or attending and promoting events that support the Foundation throughout the year.
Preparing and empowering young women for the future takes more than dedicated leaders, a passionate board and committed members.
