Young Leaders Scholarship
The YWAF Young Leaders Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship available to high school seniors who are involved in programs with our official partner organizations and who are continuing on to attend college or trade school. Recipients are chosen based on leadership roles, academic achievement, and commitment to community service during their high school career.
Recipients will be chosen in the spring and funds will be dispersed around the beginning of the following school year.

To be considered, applications must be postmarked by April 30, 2011.
- Mail completed applications to: YWA Foundation Scholarship, PO Box 1503, Austin, TX 78767.

How are the winners determined?
- A panel of judges from YWA reviews each application and selects the winners.
When are the winners determined?
- The winners are notified by the end of May.
If I win, when do I receive the money?
- You will receive your money by September 1st.
What kind of community service is YWA looking for?
- A good candidate will show community involvement; an ideal candidate will show dedication to a cause or charity.
